if you have not already done so there was a very good thread about desatting with excercise posted originally by ladybug. I do not have any good advice for you.
I would say anytime your situation has changed drastically, as i tsounds your has, it is time to re-evaluate everythign and see doc(s). If you dont feel that different could it be soemthign as simple as a large plug that is keeping you from getting your normal O2?
If you do get checked and all is ok and you decide you want to improve your cardio ability look up heart rate training. (please only do this if all truly checks out fine) It can greatly improve your bodies ability to use oxygen and improve your lung function, many see results in just 3-4 weeks. The good thing is you dont have to be some miraculous athlete since it oges on YOUR heart rate not on some set curve. Basically you do short intervals of whatever type workout, fast walking etc as hard as you can with intervals of slower work in between with heart rate at a nromal level these short burst train your body to work more effectively during htese times thus training it to use the oxygen etc more efficiently.
