I do mine in the Pari LC + or my Pari Sprint, too (doing it right now, as a matter of fact *cough cough* ). I think the "clogging" has been an issue with the eFlow, but I don't have one, so I can't really tell you...

I haven't had any problems with it cloggin my Pari nebs, and I've been doing it for almost a year now.

As for timing, our Pediatric clinic recommends (on their webpage) to do them:

Albuterol/Xopenex
HS
Pulmozyme
(any inhaled antibiotics)

And I personally have had better results doing it that way, with my vest inbetween the HS and the Pulmozyme, even though it takes a good bit longer.

It took me a bit to get to like it too (*cough, hack*- why am I doing this again?!? lol) but now, it (and the Xopenex, either neb or inhaler before) is the one thing I don't want to miss, because it makes the rest of my day so much better.

I did switch to the 3% in the evenings, but still do 7% in the mornings, when it seems I have the most gunk to get up. I didn't get a big jump in PFTs when I first started it, but I did go through 4 colds/illnesses (now five ) this winter, but didn't lose any percentages on my PFTs , and I really think that the extra help keeping my lungs cleared with the HS had a good bit to do with it.

Good luck!

Interesting...
I do
hs
(tobi when I need it)
albuteral

Not so much because some knucklehead, I mean Doctor, said so, but it just seems to work best for me that way. I tend to get some wheezing from the hs, so the albuteral helps with that.

But, what do I know. I can't see an elephant in the room!

Hey! So happy you're on HS! Ever since I started the stuff I can laugh for the first time in memory. It's amazing.

I'm on the Tobi one month off one month on.

My doctors told me to do HS before CP (I do vest and Flutter) so it loosens everything before I do flutter.
They also told me NOT to do Tobi or Pulmazyme before Therapy because they don't want me to cough it up after Flutter and Vest.

Soooo....
I do Albuterol, then HS, then Flutter and Vest, then Flovent, then Tobi...
Takes loads of time, but I guess that's our curse. Seems to work though, my stats are doing very well.

Hi Eavery one,
Thanks for your advice. I appreciate it. I am coughing up some blood since I started HTS but that's pretty much normal for me.
I used it yesterday a.m. and yesterday p.m. (both on 7%). I didn't cough a ton of junk out but my lungs feel more clear this a.m.....not sure why. I didn't think it could have an effect that fast.

So I'm just hanging in here, doing these treatments. And you're right, it DOES take a while.

I'm doing my HTS in the Invacare Sidestream, this is my favorite neb so far. You can even do Pulmozyme in there (but NOT Tobi). Good to know.

Thanks again!
