Does anyone else get freezing cold?

I know I am a little different since I take a couple Blood pressure pills, but does anyone else freeze, even when it is hot? I am not talking fever chills, but like right now it is in the 80's and I am wearing a sweatshirt. I get some crazy looks.

I see both sides of the "lucky" comment now. Guess I was in a mood earlier, sorry.

    CFers and hospital admissions

Quote

As an aside, IMO, anyone who tells a CF patient--regardless of the severity of their disease--how "lucky" they are should be taken out and slapped, repeatedly. A *doctor* who does it, who really should know better, should be slapped with a wet fish a few more times...

23 year old son in prison

Sorry, just read where you can't afford the lawyer. I would at least call around and see if there would be any lawyer that would take the case simply for publicity. It's worth a shot.

23 year old son in prison

The way your son is being treated is not right. If they are concerned about hurting terrorists feeling by putting their bible on the ground, but not letting a suffering person have his medicine is just cruel. I would definately hire a lawyer or something. Call the governor of the state and...

    Pot brownies

There is a pill called Marinol (sp?) that has the same effect as in munchies, but without the euphoric feeling. They weren't too expensive I think, but were covered by insurance anyway.

    Pot brownies

I have eaten them several times , always gaining a HUGE appetite. I mentioned it to my social worker and doc and they didn't condone it for the "legality" of it but said if it gives appetite then go for it. A better way is to make Pot butter then use that in most anything you cook that calls...

how do you deal with family?

I have family that believes, if they don't talk about it, I am OK. They drive me nuts. It is very hard thinking how a person/people who should automatically love you can be so nieve or caliss(sp?) You just be there for your husband(seems that you very much are) and try not to let the...

Coughing up Blood ( unpleasant subject! )

To the poster with low BP. I also have very low BP, almost the exact same as you. Since our bodies are obviously weaker internally, a rise in BP when coughing can indeed cause the bleeds although our BP may not be deemed "high". To the nose bleed poster. I also had nose bleeds constantly...

Question about Treating Depression in CF and CFRD.

Hey 1st poster. I am a 24/m w/CF and I also have liver and kidney issues due to CF.(serosis SP?) I took celexa and it didn't seem to help and now I take Welbutrin XL and I love it. It has minimum side effects on the liver. Ask your Doc about it. Keep your head up.

Coughing up Blood ( unpleasant subject! )

Another thing to consider is your blood pressure. Even if it is at a normal range, when we have our coughing spells, your BP shoots up. A 10 or 20 mg Propranalol or Inderal pill may be needed, just ask your doc. Hope this helps. Eric 24m w/CF

Coughing up Blood ( unpleasant subject! )

Hey, I was in the hospital in March and I had an Esophogeal Bleed, which is varacise veins in your esophagus, that rupture and bleed. I lost about 4 liters of blood and was immediately sent to ICU. I also have times where my sputum is streaked, but it is because of the "oozing viens", so it...
