Soreness in spine

I've had a wierd consistent soreness in an area of my spine for about 3 months. Feels kinda like its rubbing the tissue around it raw, or digging into the tissue around it. Wierd. Anybody hear anything about anything to do with the spine and CF. Seems like a stretch but I've had every test known to man over the past 2 years 99.9% coming back normal except CF. I did have a very low vit D.. I know that relates to CF and bone density..

My son had to have a major spine surgery a year and a half ago. He had a lot of pain in his spine. They diagnosed him with Sherman's Kyphosis. He was hunching over at the shoulders, so we didn't just go in because of the pain. It was starting to be obvious that there was a problem, and surgery was necessary. They told me that Sherman's Kyphosis is something he was born with, and just showed up during his puberty growth spurt.

Since my son was still suffering with the asthma that I was told he would outgrow, the surgeon sent us to see a pulmo to make sure he could handle the surgery. That pulmo didn't like the history I gave him on Jordan, and the tests he ran were not satisfactory either. He immediately began testing for CF. Talk about a slap in the face! We are trying to fix one problem and find another! Anyway, neither one of the docs are willing to say that the two are related. They think my poor kid just got hit with the crappy end of mine and his father's gene pools. .

The spine surgery took 8 hours. They cut some of the bone away, put in 4 rods, some hooks, and I think 68 screws! He was 3 inches taller after the surgery than when he went in. It was amazing to see the difference the first time he stood up. It was a major ordeal, but he is happy he did it. The CF doc said it was more important than ever to do the surgery, because it was putting lots of pressure on his lungs and other organs.

I hope you get your pain figured out.
