My friend (age 28) told me today he's got CF. Having not known anything about it I've just been reading information on the internet and am so shocked and saddened when faced with life expectancy statistics. He is such a great guy and can't believe that he may not be here in ten years time. I'm so upset for him <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif" border="0">

One thing you need to remember is that every CFer is different. Your friend might not be here in 5 years OR he may be here in 20 years.

Richard, we have an "Over 40's Club" which has members from 40-59! Take heart, have your friend come here and find out that there is so much he can do to help his health. Everyone is very proactive here...and we are a great community/family.
