Ok, I try to be a fair person, that's why I started this thread. But now we have a "conspiracy story" starting, and I just have to say something in fairness to Bill and Jeanne. I think Jeanne is the kindest person I would have the priviledge to meet. I don't know Bill, but he is always ready to help when we need him. I appreciate everything they do for us. Julie is a member of the community, she is not on the board, and she doesn't work for them, as far as I know. So I don't think she has mod power. Running this site is a pretty big responsibility--one that Jeanne willingly brought upon herself. She continues to make this her life's work, and it is her , and the board's, right to do what she thinks is right for the community. I just wondered why SD's thread was pulled. I happen to like SD's strange sense of humor---if he offended me or someone I know, I'd tell him so. Actually, I can't think of anybody I don't like on here. . .

Bill and Jeanne run the show. If someone reports to the moderator they respond whoever it might be.

I like Sean and feel he has a lot to offer. I sometimes laugh at his comments and other times, I just think he has a funny way of expressing himself. I am glad that this site no longer allows anon postings and we have become civilized once again.

not that anyone cares what i think about this--lol--but i think the birthday bot is a silly idea. first of all, it doesn't even say your real name unless that happens to be your sign in name. that makes it very impersonal. also, if you are good enough friends with someone to actually keep track of their birthday and want to post to them yourself, it makes the personalized post redundant!

secondly, i don't think anyone (terri! <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0"> ) should feel obligated to wish everyone a happy birthday. break the cycle! i only do it for people i am familar with. and i've never felt bad about that.

finally, for the bot birthdays to be posted in the Adult section undermines the whole idea of having separate sections for topics. i myself have tried to revive the Adults with CF section at times but it is hopeless. i say we mush everything into one big forum. or better yet, why can't every post be both in a main section and then also subdivided into topics as people see fit? this would accomodate people who only want to visit one section (Adults) and also make information available by topic for those looking for certain information about transplant or something. in the meantime, lets put the birthdays where they belong--in Off Topic.
