Thanks, I put in a call to my doctor today so hopefully I'll hear back soon. And the 2-3 sticks, I hate doing it so hopefully it is something that can be fixed easily.

yeah no one should have to go through 2-3 sticks just to get a needle in something that should be accesable unlike a vein to a picc line.

I have had 2 ports. Both of them moved pretty good for about 2 months after surgery. Its the scar tissue building up around it, it just takes time. They dug a whole to put the port and now the port just needs to settle and be accepted by your body. Personally I flush my own port and this time I was given a mini port and on more then one occision I have missed the darn thing so much that the neddle just went straight into my skin, little thing likes to move. I had my last one put in May this year and its geting better!

Mine is only a little big wiggly, but like others have said, stabilizing it while accessing it keeps it from moving. I access mine myself. I can't stand having a nurse poke at it. I'm much more accurate than they are at hitting the septum of the port rather than the edges.

I think it would be wise to have it checked out if it's moving that much and not getting blood return. It may have flipped over or slid out of place.
