Eating Yogurt with active cultures as part of your regular diet helps with it as well as digestive issues that might exist. This is one of the best things because you are getting calcium, calories & the cultures to help with thrush/yeast.

Its awful. It prevents me from eating things!

Good Luck

Thrush is a common issue with breastfeeding, and yes I know your not getting it from nursing <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">.

However, the easiest way I know of to treat is to use Gentian Violet. It is a purple extract that works wonders for thrush in babies/moms.

You can get at the pharmacy, it is NOT prescription but normally kept behind the counter so you will have to ask for it. It comes in a small bottle but lasts forever.

WARNING: It dyes anything it touches so while it will kill the thrush easily be careful or you will have purple fingers & lips when you apply it.

I have the same problem with thrush. I used get it when I was on Tobi, which apparently isn't that common but happened every time. For me, the Nystatin doesn't work as well as the Diflucan. As far as other advice, I agree with the people that say to brush your teeth and tongue, and rinse with something like Listerine after every single treatment. I've been doing this the last 3-4 times on Tobi and haven't gotten thrush. Good luck!

PS: The dr used gentian violet on my daughter when she was a baby, and it worked for her but was a horrible mess. We also couldn't find it over-the-counter (even by asking) anywhere. Where did you buy it, just1more?
