I had my bloodwork done today...got my glucose results back. My fasting level was 160 and my two hour was around 300. What the freaking hell. I've never seen it this high. I'm gonna quit the supps for a while and see if i can do a retest...maybe that is affecting it If not, well..we'll see what they say.

I hate cf. It's always one step up, two steps back. It seems you can never get ahead...

I'm sorry, been there recently myself... Mind if I ask what supplements you are on?

What are they going to do in the meantime for you? I've got some links to diabetes meds if you want to take a look at them. I actually got to use some I printed out at my endo appointment yesterday . Hang in there!

Those are some high #'s. Have you tried cinnamon yet? My fasting # was 120. They never did a "two hour" on me, so dunno what that is. I'm assuming you eat something and two hours later they look at the glucose levels? I was pissed after my #'s came back as well. The absolute last thing we need, with all the other crap we have to deal with, is being diabetic. I changed my diet, and started taking 1g of cinnamon bark after my first meal of the day. I did that for about 2 weeks, and ate my gym meal and went to work out, then at my work they were doing a health fair and checking glucose/bmi, etc.

My glucose level was an 80. Now it could be lower due to several reasons. I went to the gym and burned up sugar/calories, and maybe that 80 just shows that my cells were able to take in the sugar from my blood. Or maybe, the cinnamon helped. Who knows. I won't know how i'm really doing until I do another accurate fasting reading. Anyways, cinnamon is known to help regulate blood sugar, that has been proven. BUT, I don't think it can touch already very high blood sugar. It's more meant to help keep things in general normal range.

Also Ender...I would seriously reevaluate your diet. If you give cinnamon a try, it's kind of pointless to have a very sugary diet. My days of drinking ultra sweet drinks are over (soda etc). I still have some juice and some tea here and there, but thats it. Also keep alcohol to a minimum, and if you must partake, keep it to weekends. Theres a ton of things you can do before you go on diabetes meds or start to take in horrible artificial sweeteners. But as I said your #'s are pretty damn high, so maybe you are already there.
