I wish I had some good advice for you. I'm sorry you've had this darned cold<img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-mad.gif" border="0">

Is it any better now??

I will mention that Tylenol will thin the blood, so may actually contribute a bit to the hemoptysis, but ya gotta do what ya gotta do & if it's helping with the sinus pain, then I guess you pick your poison!

Do you use Vicks vapor rub to help keep sinus' moving?

I hope you're doing better!

I've heard vicks is bad for people with respiratory problems. I know I get headaches when my sinuses get infected, I keep up with the rinses and try to block light out and sleep it off with the help of some aspirin. I do agree that chicken soup or even just broth does wonders, I always get better from head colds quite quickly with the soup and plenty of rest. I tend to stay away from teh cough medicine too, I know it's tiresome coughing all the time but it's better to get the stuff up than to surpress it. Hope you are feeling better!

For the last 2 years I have taken high does 'Ester C' (vitamin C) whenever I have felt a cold coming on and it has kicked the cold every time. Before I discovered this, almost every time I got a cold ended with me on iv's. It's important you use that specific type though, because it has to be taken in high doses. The problem with regular vitamin C is that you can't take it in a high enough does to be effective, without upsetting your stomach. Ester C is very gentle on the stomach. I can't describe how much this has helped me.
