Foot Problems

I'm always very dehydrated and it shows on my hands and feet. My feet are always so dry that lotion barely touches them.

I don't think it's strictly a diabetes thing, since I've had trouble with my feet since way before becoming diabetic.

A lot of meds are drying, that could be some of the cause. Also, coffee. I've cut back on my daily coffee consumption and it's helped a lot! And I try to drink Gatorade instead of water.

After your cracks heal, getting pedicures can help.

I have very dry hands and feet. ~I'm constantly putiing hand cream on and they crack and bleed.

I have a lot of hard skin on my heels and they have large cracks down them and sometimes after taking the dog out depending on what boots i wear they can be very painfull.

I am diabetic too and keep thinking i should go to a chiropodist to get them seen to. I have just started putting overnight mosturiser on them and wearing socks so i'm hoping they will improve. Don't know if it is related to bad circulation but i have cold hands and feet all the time.
