Enema help needed

My son had been very very irritable for the last week and after many visits to the Pediatrician trying to rule out everything from seizures to broken bones we found out late on Friday that he has a poop impaction in his butt (my son is non-verbal and has CP in addition to CF so that is why I couldn't just ask him what's wrong). His pediatrician wanted us to do a couple of enemas and see if that clears it. Well we have done two enemas and I don't know if it has cleared it or not. What is coming out is thin watery poop. So question is - when you do an enema is it normal for the poop to become watery or should I be expecting a huge ball of poop to come out? I was sort of expecting the huge ball of poop to be forced out and now I'm not sure if the stuff that is coming out is just coming around the obstruction or if this is the obstruction.

Thank you for asking your Mom. They were Fleets Pediatric Saline enemas, not the oil ones. I'm going to call his GI doctor and bypass the Pediatrician on this one to see what they want to do, because he still has not pooped anything besides a little watery stuff and he's still not feeling up to speed.
