I have to agree with Patti on almost all counts. I didn't think any of the test were very bad on the transplant work-up and I don't recall anything that was very discomforting or painful (I don't put a high entertainment value on prepping for a colonoscopy, however. Maybe you will get a pass...

I live in Fort Worth and went to the adult division at Dallas Children's Medical Center because Fort Worth did not specifically treat adults. Being from Fort Worth I am probably a little biased but I understand that Cook Children's Medical Center has an excellent program for CF in children...

Waking up almost every morning with a headache was one of the first signs. Once they put me on O2 at nights these stopped almost immediately plus I felt much better and alert when I awoke each morning. I also found I wasn't as short of breath.

The chest tubes were the worst part. Besides being uncomfortable they really restrict your moving around. It was really a big day when they finally got them out and you felt "free" again. I was in the hospital after the transplant for about 17 days but the last week was not really related to...

Anna:
I've had 2 bronchs done since my transplant on 4/9/08 and was sore for 3-4 days after each one. Mine hurt mostly internally but I figured it must have just been from all of the poking around and biopsies that they did. After about the 4th day everything went back to normal feeling so...
