Now that VX770 is FDA approved...

I am also interested in hearing how Kalydeco works for the G551Ders. Hopefully people will post on the difference it's made for them once they've been on it. I know that there will likely be some issues with insurance coverage, etc, but I'm sure there will be some who are on it right away...

    AquaDEK

I tried it once, but the vitamin just didn't agree with me. I was 'burping' a vitamin taste all day. I now take SourceCF softgels and they work great! But I know a lot of people who really like the AquaADEK - hope it works good for you <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">

    first episode of hemoptysis

Megok- I agree, it's frustrating because you worry about where you'll be when you start coughing up blood. I was at work when it happened, which was a little freaky for me. Luckily it was the end of the day and time for me to leave anyways, but I still hated that it happened there. But now I...

    Off topic Working from home

Hi there, I am also an RN but decided to pursue other healthcare avenues to avoid hopsital/patient exposure. Currently, I do healthcare IT, where I maintain electronic medical record (EMR) technology, train doctors/nurses on the systems, and provide consultation services to improve practice. I...

    medic alert

Thanks for chiming in Jonathan. I figured you would know best whether a medic ID was warranted or not. Now that I know you basically automatically check BS's, it seems overkill, for me,to have the bracelet at this point. Thanks for the info! Thanks also for all of the other responses. It helped...

    Don't what to do..

How frustrating that must be for you Mike. That is what is so disheartening about CF is that you try and try and do everything you're supposed to, but the disease still causes the decline. I absolutely hate those moments when you realize that you have to "accept" a new symptom or a new...

    medic alert

Hi all, Just wondering...do you wear a medic alert tag? I have been considering getting one, but I'm just not sure. I feel that having CF isn't enough reason to wear one for me because I wouldn't suspect any emergency situation to arise because of my CF at this point. However, I got to thinking...

Where does hyper tonic fit in?

Hi there, I believe the order should be albuterol, HTS, Pulmozyme, antibiotic, then Symbicort - that's the order I was told at clinic.
