Inhaler makes you sleepy

Years ago before I had any clue what was going on, I noticed that if I took an inhaler:
1) My lungs felt amazing and wide open
2) I would get really sleepy

My doc had given me one because I has having some wierd lung issues. (I think I have mild lung issues compared to most of you guys). In fact, this is kind of bad, but for a while I would often use it to help me get to sleep. This has often confused doctors who scratch their heads and say "if anything it should act as a stimulant". The only explaination they could seem to come up with is that sometimes people have the opposite reaction to medication that they are supposed to have. I figured that it made my lungs feel so good that my body could finely relax. Have any of you experienced this effect?

(BTW: I have not been formally dx'd with CF.. waiting for results)

The only way that could make any kind of sense is if you have true ADHD then stimulants can actually make you sleepy......

That is why they give caffiene to ADHD kids it calms them down, also Bendryl usually amps you up because meds that are meant to make you sleepy make you hyper

I dont know about Jenn's thoughts of the ADHD thing because I have my moments where the inhalers make me more tired then I was before hand.

Its not on a regular basis so I never thought much about it, but it definitely has happened. I cant even recall if I was sick, well or what.

I will have to pay attention now LOL!
