    malabsorption and belly fat

I have had my cortisol checked and it was normal. It is frustrating! Maybe it is a combination of hormones and genetics. Not sure. I feel like all this working out I do should burn it off though! I know some people store more weight in their thighs and hips. My body fat is 18-19% (based on my...

    Gluten free? Anybody know anything?

I have CF and I've been on a gluten free diet for 4 years now. A really great book to read is Grain Brain. And another called Wheat Belly. They talk about what gluten really does to your body. I was having lots of GI issues and wanted to try it. I was tested for celiac but was negative. What I...

    malabsorption and belly fat

Does malapsorption cause belly fat? Or is that more a diabetes thing? I work out hard by doing Insanity and weights and biking. But it seems the only place I store fat is my stomach. I noticed that lots of people with CF seem to be built the same way I am. Thin legs and arms and a thicker...

Pain in the middle of my back

I had a mucus plug back in May that really hurt.  I thought something was seriously wrong.  I had a bunch of tests done to rule out a blood clot too cause of the pain.  It hurt to breathe, cough, move in any way, even turn over in bed.  My doctor said that sometimes he has to prescribe narcotics...

    total healing from CF

Well I am a Bible believing Christian, and I do believe in healing miracles.  But that's in God's will.  Sometimes he heals us spiritually to help us through things, and we learn from that.  He doesn't always heal us physically.  But remember when Paul asked for the thorn to be taken out of his...

    Azithromycin

I was on zithro for a few years.  I stopped taking it because I really didn't notice any difference.  Plus it made me have more GI symptoms.  Not that I need that!  My PFT's never got any better so I just quit taking it.  It is suppose to help with inflammation over time though.   I'm glad it...
